With such a diverse range of members we are lucky enough to be able to cater for most groups and types of riding. We have a large number of riders that race but we equally have many members that enjoy a steadier ride once a week for the social side of cycling.
Road racing is very popular within our membership, and we are proud to promote our own road race each year. For 2017 we are planning on holding a separate women’s race, which should add up to a busy day of racing! It all takes place on the bank holiday weekend at the end of April. Sunday Club Run
At the moment our main ride is our Sunday club run. This takes place almost every Sunday with an 8am start. This ride is around 50 – 60 miles and we always stop halfway at a cafe for much needed tea and cake. We also plan the occasional longer ride of 60-70 miles. The early start seems to suit the majority of our members as we return to Norwich around lunchtime leaving the rest of the day free. For details of the Sunday Club run either visit our club run page or just view our events calendar.
We also run a hill climbing session on summer Monday nights which can be taken at your own pace without fear of being left behind. These take the format of short loops so you’ll usually have someone in front of you and behind you and you’re free to push yourself as much or as little as you want. Meeting place can vary depending on the course used, so best check Facebook for details but usually it will be somewhere along the Thorpe Road.
