Roll on the next Rollapaluza

A massive thank you to everyone that made our first Rollapaluza event a huge success. As it was something new for Norwich and the fact that Iceni Velo is less than a year old it was a tall order but true to form the amazing supports of Iceni Velo stepped up and came along. Some to have a go and some to soak up an amazing atmosphere. We ended up with 55 riders competing in the male and female categories all of different abilities. There were some fantastic rides on the night including some already tired legs with many competitors taking part in the mornings Rough Stuff ride or the Eastern Region Cyclo Cross race.

The turn out was better than we could have imagined and at some points it was difficult to get upstairs let alone the event room. Great to see so many faces some old and some new and we hope you all had as much fun as we did. A massive thank you to Andy from the York for his support and generosity in running the event and of course to Rollapaluza themselves for coming over and making it all happen. Thanks also to one of the fastest men of the night Ton Donhou for his support of offering prizes for our first placed riders in each category. Big congratulations to Kelly Davis, Emma Fox & Claire Martin for producing some great times in the ladies category and my eyes are still blurred from watching Mathew Sillis and Ben “scooby” Osbourne turn their legs at some ridicules rpm in the mens final.
